Hey Sugar! Is Now Open At Trinoma Mall
We all know that our hair plays a vital role in our body. It protects the body from extreme heat and cold and also acts as an extra layer of protection. But most of the time, it grows in an area where we don’t want it to. Underarms, upper lip, and bikini area are just some of the areas in our body where we want little or no hair.
Good thing that waxing salons came to life! As for waxing services, Hey Sugar! is my go-to place. As you enter Hey Sugar! you will feel the girly ambiance with pinks and flowers all over the place. More than just the beautiful interior, it’s the service that makes them well known when it comes to waxing. They used only the best, highest quality, all-organic natural ingredients that won’t harm your skin. Using 100% naturally hypoallergenic sugar wax will minimize side effects like allergic reactions and chemical irritations brought about by using traditional wax.
On November 17, Hey Sugar! opened its newest branch at Trinoma Mall. Bloggers were among the first one to experience their waxing services and sweet treats were also prepared. Hey Sugar! is an expert when it comes to waxing. Aside from using organic ingredients, they also have well-trained staff to attend to your needs. To make your waxing experience even more effective, Hey Sugar! shares 7 insider waxing tips straight from their aestheticians.
1. Skip the lotion on the day of your appointment. They need a clean and dry skin so that you can achieve the best result.
2. If you are to undergo waxing, skip shaving 2 weeks before your scheduled appointment. This is to ensure that hair is long enough to lie flat on the skin.
3. Give time for your skin to breath after you wax. Since Hair will be removed and skin will be exposed, the skin will be sensitive.
4. Avoid the harsh sun after waxing. It’s a no-no to have waxing services a day before you hit the beach or any other activities where there is a lot of sun exposure.
5. Avoid extreme heat like saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers. Use cold water after waxing.
6. Don’t wear tight-fitting clothes after having your waxing services. This includes synthetic Lycra that you usually use as a workout or gym clothes. Yes! A valid reason to skip the gym.
7. Start exfoliating a couple of days after waxing to prevent ingrown hairs.
During my visit, I tried Full Facial Fudge which includes removal of hair in the entire face including upper, lower lip, and the stray hairs in my brow area. At first, I tried threading but later on, decided to have it removed using wax. I can tolerate threading of eyebrows but not for the entire face.
Aside from threading and waxing, I also tried the Strawberry Swirl or perming of the lashes. The perming solution was applied to my lashes and lower lids were taped down which caused a bit of discomfort but tolerable. It took 20-30 minutes and then another 10 minutes for another solutio to attain curled lashes. It took less than an hour to have my lashes curled. So yeah, no need for an eyelash curler for the next 2-3 months!
