Product Review: Me Now Long Lasting Lip Gloss

by - April 04, 2016

I have been hearing a lot of good reviews about this product and seen this on my IG feeds almost everyday. Matte lipgloss, are you kidding me?! And as the name implies, it is a lip gloss type of lip product that dries up and becomes matte. Lovely!

I saw these products being sold in Alimall by Cosmetix Unlimited. I got this lipgloss on sale at Php200+. I bought Me Now Long Lasting Lip Gloss in number 18. This is a nude shade and looks natural on the lips. This would go for my everyday makeup look with just a sweep of a pink or taupe eye shadow and very light cheek color.

I also bought one in number 33. This one is a dark red orange shade. It looks intimidating and would probably wear it for night outs.

Creamy consistency that glides easily on the lips
And the creamy lip gloss dries to a matte finish

Packaging is a long, slender plastic tube that weights 4.4 grams. It comes with a twist-to-open cover where the lip applicator is attached. Remember to prime your lips properly before applying Me Now's Long Lasting Lipstick because this will result to a very dry to cracked lips.

One positive thing about this product is that it is very affordable, less than Php300 at regular price. It also comes in variety of colors and would be impossible not to like at least one shade.

The down side is that it caused too much drying of my lips even with proper moisturizing prior to application. It also comes with scent that smells like most of the cheap brands that I know. It is also a bit difficult to remove. I am using a baby oil and cotton to remove it then apply  lips moisturizer.

I would recommend it to those who are on a budget but would love to try matte lipstick. This is a good product that is both economical and long lasting..

  1. The colours look very pigmented. 18 looks great as an everyday kind of colour. But I don't think I'll like these because I have really dry lips.
