Go Sushi: Japanese Dishes At An Affordable Price

by - April 23, 2017

Filipinos are known to be flexible to almost everything. This is probably one of the reasons why we welcome different taste from foreign countries.

Japanese restaurants are scattered all over the metro and this is to cater to the growing needs when in comes to Japanese cuisine. Who doesn't love ramen, tempura, and sushi? I'm sure we all do. But let's face it, Japanese foods are quite expensive.

It's a good thing that Japanese fusion restaurants came into existence. One of the newest restaurants known to serve Japanese foods is Go Sushi. It is a Japanese-fusion restaurant that serves classic Japanese dishes at a price that won't hurt your budget. At Go Sushi, you will find your favorite Japanese dishes with a twist. Their serving is huge so you can share it with family and friends.

The original branch is located at Maginhawa Street and they recently opened their branch in Mindanao Avenue. I got the chance to try Go Sushi and below are some of the food photos. We got the chance to have a quick chat with the accommodating owner, Violy when we visited their branch in Mindanao Avenue. She really is into Japanese foods and the business concept started when she got frustrated satisfying her maki cravings. The hassle of going through the heavy traffic just to go to nearby malls and looking for affordable Japanese foods only to find out that it's no good. As a customer who loves Japanese foods, Violy certainly knows what she is looking for when it comes to Japanese cuisines and this made her decide to try food business, hence, Go Sushi was established.

Maki Combo PHP349 (From top to bottom) Philly Cheese Steak, California Torch Roll , Crispy Tuna
Crunchy Salmon PH129
Black Sesame Salmon PHP89
Seafood Ramen PHP 249
Asian Wings PHP179
Tempura PHP299 for 5 pieces
Tonkatsu PHP179
Sushi Donut is the newest addition to Go Sushi's menu. This is good for sharing and has twice toppings as compared to their regular sushi.

And the verdict? It was very good! My favorite is the Philly Cheese Steak for obvious reason that I'm a cheese lover. Their tempura is also good which has a nicely covered batter and is very crunchy. The serving is generous, the food tastes great and the price is very reasonable. This place is highly recommended for those who wants to satisfy their Japanese cravings but are on a budget and those who wants to try different kinds of maki and sushi. They also have Bilao meals that is good for sharing during events. Delivery service available for a minimum food purchase depending on location.
