Visiting Holistic Integrative Care for the first time brought back the memories of my nursing career. Although my career now is not healthcare related anymore, it still excites me whenever I attend health-related events. It's good to know that a holistic center is now gaining popularity in the Philippines. By definition, holistic care refers to a system of comprehensive or total patient care that considers the entire well being of a person and that includes the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.

I was a bit surprised to know that the services are reasonably priced. Considering that HICC is using advanced machines, they manage to give their services at a low cost. They also offer a one-time payment for their check-up. Imagine your 1500 pesos can give you unlimited check-ups. That's comparable to only three check-ups from other clinics and here you get it for a lifetime.

What's good with HICC is they really wanted their patients to enjoy life to the fullest and free from any medical condition. Their ultimate goal is to address the health needs of each individual.

I was lucky to try one of HICC's services, the body scan. It is a one-minute procedure that scans all the organs in the body. This will give you an overview of your health condition. It was later on interpreted by Dra. Meddie. I found out that my digestion is not functioning well and that I needed more calcium because osteoporosis is starting to develop. Did you know that a body scan can save you money and save you from serious diseases as well? Having a body scan gives you a single result that you would not normally get from other exams. It would take different laboratories and series of medical examinations before you get an overview of your health condition. Also, the result is 80-90% accurate so it can help you cure a disease or medical condition before you actually get the disease. In a way, it is a preventive measure to a more serious complication.
After interpreting the result of my body scan, Chef Arlene Clemente gave me tips on how to address my dietary concerns. Arlene is a certified Holistic Chef who graduated  Cum Laude with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
