Grand Launch Of Ginebra Ako Jersey Collection 2018

On March 21, Ginebra San Miguel officially launched the 2018 limited edition Ginebra Ako Jersey Collection at the PBA Cafe in Metrowalk. These jerseys pay homage to the "Never Say Die" spirit of which the Ginebra team is known for.

The term "Ginebra Ako" stands for the team's resilience, determination, and perseverance that have been evident for the past four decades that Ginebra has been playing in the game court.
Aside from the remarkable statement "Ginebra Ako", other notable designs are also embedded on the jersey like the four stars which represent Barangay Ginebra San Miguel's four decades stay in the PBA and a crown which symbolizes not only the team's domination in the basketball league but also for being the undisputed number 1 selling gin in the world.

There are three marks to verify the authenticity of the jersey. The first one would be the iconic Ginebra San Miguel Label Tag that embodies the long-standing heritage and culture the Ginebra team represents. Second would be the Patch Authenticity with an embroidered signature of none other than the winningest coach in PBA history, Tim Cone. Lastly, the "Never Say Die" patch on the backside of the jersey that is all about the team's mantra of never giving up.

The limited edition jerseys will be worn by the team in the upcoming 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup starting April 2018.

Other exciting events to watch out for is the Ginebra San Miguel 3-on-3 Tournament where 16 teams from 16 different areas will play against each other to be named as the next Ginebra San Miguel's 3-on-3 Champion. These teams will also be wearing the limited edition jerseys. The top 2 finalists will experience real court action as they play at the Araneta Coliseum for the championship. The winning team will take home PHP50,000.

Mike Swift also known as "Mr. Pinoy Hoops" and his team will paint murals to show the "Ginebra Ako" spirit on every court that will be visited in the 3-on-3 tournaments. This tournament was made possible in partnership with the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

The 2018 Limited Edition Jersey and 3-on-3 tournament are evidence that the "Never Say Die" is very much alive even after 4 decades and will live on for as long as the players and fans will stay true to their promise of being a true blooded "Ginebra Ako".
