A Day At Escala Tagaytay

Tagaytay is known for its cold weather and scenic view of the Taal Volcano. I used to frequent Tagaytay just to have my favorite cup of coffee and enjoy the nature view Tagaytay has to offer. I haven’t visited it since the pandemic started in 2020 and now that travel is possible, I am glad that I got to visit it again earlier this week. Unlike before, the weather is no longer that cold but it still has a magnificent view of the Taal Lake and Taal Volcano.

We stayed at Escala Hotel, a luxury hotel located near Skyranch. Its convenient location makes it easy to access Tagaytay’s must-see destinations. It has a 24-hour front desk, gym, Wi-Fi in all rooms, and the iconic swimming pool that has been making rounds on social media because of its breathtaking view.

The hotel has 60 rooms and, you can choose from the deluxe, deluxe premier, premier, cellar premier, executive, and family prestige. 

We stayed in the deluxe room that is 34 square meters in size and comes with one queen and one single bed. It has the basic facilities like a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, vanity mirror, work desk, hairdryer, telephone, and toiletries. One thing I really liked is the balcony that gives an amazing pool view.

Escala is famous for its swimming pool and every corner is Instagram-worthy. At night, the pool lights up which makes it even more magical. 

Escala also has an in-house restaurant known as Bellisima. They serve Filipino dishes, pasta, pizza, coffee, and alcoholic drinks. It’s a bit pricey but the serving is big. Aside from the mouth-watering foods, Bellisima offers a panoramic view of the Taal Volcano and the pool. If you want a closer look of the Teal Volcano, make sure to go to the viewing deck.

Escala will surely give you an enjoyable and comfortable stay and a superb service from the hotel staff. It has been a pleasant stay and will consider Escala for my next Tagaytay staycation.
